Varnamala

This children's alphabet book illustrates the 57 letters of the hindi alphabet in a colourful setting to make learning more enjoyable for young children. The aim was to create a vibrant, educational format which should replace the dull pre-school level learning books most Indian kids had to work with so far. The project was developed and written by Coonoor Kripalani and illustrated by me.
"Beautifully and colourfully illustrated, these four books have a fresh and contemporary look for presenting the Hindi alphabet, numbers, colours, and shapes to children aged between 2 to 6 years. They are printed in bright colours, on art card, and are designed as an appealing learning tool for young ones. They are unique, as there are no comparable Hindi books available on the market. They are published by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Global Indian International School, Singapore (Jan 2006). A new bilingual edition of these books has been published in 2007 by the Global Indian Foundation, Singapore."

  2. You can buy the books at Crosswords in Mumbai among many other book stores and Tekson’s in New Delhi, as well as, I think, Oxford Bookstores.
